Overview

Evidence to Action (E2A) is a webinar series created by EGPAF to share novel approaches and best practices in global health programs.

Up to half of the people living with HIV continue to present to care with advanced HIV disease (AHD), and individuals with AHD are at a high risk of death, even after starting antiretroviral therapy. Those with AHD are more prone to opportunistic infections. Tuberculosis, cryptococcal meningitis, and severe bacterial infections remain the leading causes of mortality, and 30% of children and adolescents still present with severe immunosuppression.
