Enhancing Client-centered Service Delivery by Facility and Community Providers in Lindi and Tabora, Tanzania – The UMOJA Study

This USAID-funded study assessed the effectiveness of a community health worker-health provider case management and quality improvement intervention model on retention in MNCH/PMTCT services among patients overall, and among a subset of at-risk women/baby pairs in Tanzania. Mixed methods were used to compare clinical outcomes among the model and the standard of care and to assess the health worker satisfaction and workload with the different approaches.
