This three-phase study, supported under CDC’s Project DELTA, aimed to assess the sensitivity, specificity, and real-world implementation of a screening tool to identify children and adolescents at risk of being HIV-infected in Uganda. The goal of the study was to equip health care providers and clinics with a tool to increase pediatric HIV testing and more quickly link positively-identified children and adolescents to care and treatment to reduce morbidity and mortality.
