Overview

Country:

Zimbabwe

Pediatric and Adolescent Testing, Care, and Treatment

The goal of this USAID-sponsored household survey was to identify and validate the most effective combination of questions to screen orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) aged 2 to 17 years for HIV testing at the community service level by determining cut-off, sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values in Zimbabwe. The study also assessed the ease with which community health workers were able to administer the screening tool.
