This CDC-funded evaluation assessed the effect of a new family-centered contact tracing approach on program outcomes and examined the feasibility of using novel combinations of laboratory specimens (i.e., Nasopharyngeal Aspirates and stool) to optimize TB diagnoses in children under programmatic conditions in Mozambique. The family-centered approach aimed to improve TB screening and follow-up evaluation, HIV testing, and linkage to care by developing and piloting a package of tools.
