This CDC-funded study assessed the effect of decentralized pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) diagnostic and treatment capacity on rates of PTB screening, diagnosis, and treatment in three districts of Maputo Province. This enhanced monitoring study used routinely collected data to compare indicators before and after decentralization of PTB services to help inform the Ministry of Health on whether and how this model should be expanded to other regions.
