Country:

Tanzania

Pediatric and Adolescent Testing, Care, and Treatment

This cross-sectional study, funded under USAID’s Project SOAR, aimed to evaluate the performance of a four-item HIV risk screening tool in predicting the HIV status in orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) ages 2-19 years in Tanzania. The study also identified additional items that could be added to the community-based tool to improve its performance, and described the HIV rate and household testing perceptions and history among OVC participants.
