The PODI+ Evaluation

Overview

Country:

Democratic Republic of Congo

Subject Matter:

Adult Testing, Care, and Treatment

Data Collection Period: 09/2018 – 07/2020

This USAID-funded evaluation aimed to compare differences in retention in care, adherence, and viral suppression during a one-year study period between clients receiving multi-month dispensation through community-based distribution sites (PODI+) or the facility-based model in the DRC. This study described barriers, facilitators, and experiences of the PODI+ model from the perspective of PODI+ clients, PODI+ staff, and other health workers and determined the costs associated with this differentiated service delivery approach.
