The goal of the next three-year phase (Malezi III) is to sustain the gains made under Malezi II, while supporting the sustainable integration of early childhood development (ECD) services within health systems at national and regional levels. In alignment with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s Strategy25 for early childhood development in East and Southern Africa, EGPAF will apply a health system strengthening approach, providing technical assistance (TA) to link diverse stakeholders across the health system, effectively integrate NC into the government system, and monitor the quality of implementation. Nationally, EGPAF will provide TA on NC as stipulated in the NM-ECDP, as well as advocate for NC integration into health education curricula.

Regionally, EGPAF will work with local government authorities (LGAs), civil society organizations (CSOs), and existing projects to maintain integrated ECD services established under Malezi II in the Tabora region, while also supporting the integration of ECD components into council plans, CSOs, and implementing partner activities in the Arusha region.
