Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation about the U.S. Government’s Investment in the Global Fund

October 5, 2010
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation would like to recognize today’s announcement by the U.S. Government for its increased investment in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. This is an important commitment, and we welcome the continued leadership of the U.S. Government in financing the response to the global AIDS epidemic.

The U.S. Government recently joined Global Fund and other global health partners in calling for virtual elimination of pediatric AIDS. This Global Fund pledge and continued U.S. investment in the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) are critical to collective efforts to reach this goal.
