Adult Testing, Care, and Treatment; Innovative Technologies
This Clinton Health Access Initiative-funded study aims to assess uptake, feasibility, and user acceptability of the VISITECT CD4 point-of-care test among healthcare workers in Tanzania. Specifically, the study will measure the uptake of VISITECT testing at 20 EGPAF-supported sites and linkage to advanced HIV disease care for clients with VISITECT CD4 counts <200 copies. A retrospective patient-level data abstraction design and a cross-sectional survey of healthcare workers in the 20 sites will be used to also assess the feasibility and acceptability of VISITECT CD4 testing technology.
