EGPAF Honored for Storytelling Excellence by The Communicator Awards
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) won three awards at the 30th Annual Communicator Awards, the leading international program recognizing creative excellence. With more than 3,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the award program recognizes the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and design.
- EGPAF received the 2024 Award for Excellence for a Non-Profit Campaign for its “Now is the Time – Finish the Fight for an AIDS-Free Generation,” a six-month campaign to heighten awareness and galvanize support for an AIDS-free generation.
- The organization also earned Distinction in two categories (2024 Aesthetic Distinction Award for Visual Appeal for a Feature and the General Non-Profit Distinction Award) for its story, “A Nurse and a Nation: The Story of Eswatini’s Fight for an AIDS-free Generation” – a website-based video and narrative storytelling package about nurses supporting families impacted by HIV in Eswatini.
“Our organization was started by a mother who wanted to change the narrative of what was possible for mothers, children, families and communities who have been touched by HIV around the world,” said Yolanda Brignoni, EGPAF’s Vice President of External Affairs and Communications.
“We tell the stories of that movement and help bring hope and information to the communities impacted,” she continued. “Being honored for excellence by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) validates our work and shines a spotlight on the inspirational changemakers working to end AIDS across the globe.”
The Communicator Awards program is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed brand and media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms including: GE Digital, Spotify, Condè Nast, Disney, Fast Company, Digitas, and many others.
