Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Receives $600,000 from Jewelers for Children

Washington, D.C. – June 3, 2014 – Jewelers for Children (JFC) has committed $600,000 to further EGPAF’s mission to end AIDS in children worldwide. JFC presented the donation at its 16th Annual Facets of Hope Dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“This is more than just a donation, it’s a chance to save lives,” said David Rocha, executive director of JFC. “JFC was founded on the idea that it is possible to change a child’s life today and EGPAF dramatically changes the lives of women and children living with HIV each and every day. We are proud to support that mission.”

This generous contribution strengthens EGPAF’s longstanding relationship with the charitable network of jewelers. EGPAF has been a JFC Legacy Charity Partner since 1999 and has received more than $9.7 million during this 15-year partnership to further its programmatic and research work.

"EGPAF’s partnership with JFC is one of our most long-standing and strongest because we’re united by the desire to create a world where no child has AIDS," said Trish Devine Karlin, EGPAF’s executive vice president of communications, marketing, and resource development. "Our partnership exemplifies what can be achieved when we marry generous funding with knowledge, skill, and purpose. We greatly value the continued support from JFC and its members as we carry out our mission to achieve an AIDS-free generation."

EGPAF has a 25-year track record of wisely investing donor resources from individuals, foundations, corporations, and governments. EGPAF is proud to be a part of JFC’s mission to unite the charitable efforts of businesses and individuals in the jewelry industry through a commitment to help children in need.
