Ethiopia

Overview

Nearly 700,000 individuals are living with HIV in Ethiopia and women of reproductive age are disproportionately affected by the epidemic. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) historically focused on enhanced and equitable access to prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission (PMTCT) and care and treatment in Ethiopia.

Our Work

EGPAF began offering technical assistance in Ethiopia through its Delivering Technical Assistance Project in 2015. This project strengthened capacity of the Ministry of Health and public health sites to provide more equitable access to high-quality prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission, and pediatric and adult HIV care and treatment services.
