From Advocacy to Action: Driving Change for Children, Mothers & Families

Elizabeth Glaser made her first trip to Washington in 1988, when she met with President and Mrs. Reagan, leaders at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and members of Congress to advocate for treatment for her children and for all children living with HIV.

Today, EGPAF carries that legacy forward. Our advocacy drives global and local leadership, funding, and accountability to end HIV/AIDS for children, adolescents, and families everywhere.

Our Advocacy Priorities

Born from a mother’s determination, EGPAF continues to champion policies that protect the health and rights of mothers, children, and families affected by HIV.

Eliminating Mother-to-Child Transmission

We advocate to end mother-to-child transmission of HIV—globally and in the U.S.—by strengthening political will, funding, and supportive systems that make an AIDS-free generation possible.

Expanding Pediatric HIV Treatment Access

Only half of children living with HIV receive the treatment they need. EGPAF partners with governments, donors, and pharmaceutical leaders to close this gap and improve access to the most effective, child-friendly medicines.

Defeating Pediatric TB

We fight for stronger TB screening, prevention, and treatment policies for children through global advocacy, technical collaboration, and local capacity building.

Advancing Better Medicines for Mothers and Children

We push for innovation that includes pregnant women and children in research, ensuring they benefit equally from lifesaving scientific breakthroughs.

How We Advocate

EGPAF influences policies and funding priorities at every level—from the halls of Congress to communities across Africa.
