Screening Algorithms to Reduce Burden of Pediatric HIV Testing
Overview
This study reviewed five databases and literature assessing screening outcomes of children ages 0-5 to present a summary on sensitivity and specificity of child HIV risk screening tools. It presents critical information on HIV risk screening tools and whether or not these should be used widely to limit use of valuable HIV tests to those who most need diagnostics.
