Children and COVID-19
Evidence is mounting indicating that although SARS-CoV-2 infection in neonates, infants, and children generally appears to be mild or moderate, severe disease can occur. Symptoms differ from those in adults and emerging new manifestations of disease in children, such as multi-system inflammatory syndrome demonstrates how SARS-CoV-2 infection in children remains to be identified.
In this edition of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF)’s Evidence to Action (E2A) webinar series, Senior HIV Technical Advisor, Dr. Lynne Mofenson explores latest research on the evolving nature of COVID-19 in children and implications for health programs, followed by a Q&A and discussion around how we can better advocate for children as this pandemic further unfolds.
