While the implications of COVID-19 on adolescents and youth living with HIV are yet to be fully understood, a few rapid response measures can be taken to reduce exposure risk and retain clients with HIV care needs. This document was prepared for use within EGPAF programs and is being made available to stakeholders, especially providers, who also serve adolescents and youth living with HIV and essential health services during this emergency. These recommendations provide a youth-lens and use simple terminology to adjust clinical services.

HPV Vaccination Uptake and Acceptability of HPV/HIV Integrated Services Models for Adolescent Girls in Mozambique and Zimbabwe
Published June 2026
This study found that integrating HPV vaccination into HIV prevention and treatment services in Mozambique and Zimbabwe significantly increased vaccine uptake among girls at heightened risk of HPV and cervical cancer, while achieving high caregiver acceptance and satisfaction with the integrated care model.
