Washington, D.C.—October 22, 2020—The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is pleased to announce that Carlos Carrazana, Chief Operating Officer of the League of Conservation Voters, and Mary Karen Wills, Managing Director of Berkley Research Group, have joined its Board of Directors.

“It is with excitement and appreciation that I welcome Mary Karen Wills and Carlos Carrazana to EGPAF’s Board,” said Jack Leslie, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are glad to have each bring their respective expertise in audit and finance to help guide the Foundation’s operations, and we are certain their valuable perspectives will support our continued dedication to the fight for an AIDS-free generation.”

Carrazana brings his vast experience in global management of private and nonprofit organizations. His appointment to the Board of Directors marks a return to EGPAF, as Carrazana previously served as the Foundation’s COO from 2008 to 2012. He also served as COO of Save the Children, before taking his current post at the League of Conservation Voters.

“I am thrilled to once again join EGPAF in the global fight to end AIDS in children,” said Carrazana. “The communities the Foundation serves—children, youth, and families impacted by HIV—are in urgent need of our support during this increasingly challenging period in global health.”

Wills joins the Foundation’s Board as an expert in US government contracting across various sectors, and with a deep understanding of financial management of international non-governmental organizations. In addition to her role as Managing Director of Berkley Research Group, she also serves on the Boards of Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital, Counterpart International, and Intrahealth International—chairing the Audit and Finance Committees of the two latter organizations.

“EGPAF is driven to see a world where no other mother, child, or family is devastated by HIV and AIDS, and I am glad to serve that inspiring purpose by joining the Board of Directors,” said Wills. “I look forward to providing my knowledge to help guide the Foundation towards realizing that mission.”
