EGPAF is proud to announce the hiring of it’s very first Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B), Refiloe Lebese. Based out of South Africa, Refiloe is an international human resources expert with more than 20 years’ experience managing and offering support to staff across North America, Africa, and Europe. “EGPAF values the unique qualities and dignity of every person impacted by HIV and AIDS. Only by celebrating the unique qualities of every person and ending the structural inequities that divide us, will we achieve an AIDS-free generation,” said EGPAF President and CEO Chip Lyons.
As the previous Director of People and Culture for MACRO-EYES, Refiloe returns to EGPAF having acted as the organization’s HR Advisor for over 11 years. In this capacity she worked closely with program staff across Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Eswatini, and Mozambique while also supporting and overseeing the scale-up of operations in Lesotho, Mozambique, and Cameroon.
“I am thrilled to be rejoining EGPAF as the Director of DEI&B, and I am committed to working closely with senior leadership, country management, and EGPAF staff across our global programs to achieve our DEI&B goals,” Refiloe said.
“Refiloe is a trusted collaborator with the requisite experience and critical knowledge needed to elevate EGPAF’s DEI&B initiatives. I have the upmost trust and enthusiasm in welcoming Refiloe back to EGPAF in this important role, and can think of no one else better equipped to guide and uplift the organization’s continued commitment to establishing and expanding our culture of DEI&B,” Lyons continued.
