WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 27, 2026)—The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is pleased to announce that Kara Saleeby has joined the organization as Director of Public Policy & Advocacy.

In this role, Kara will provide strategic leadership to elevate and expand EGPAF’s national policy and advocacy presence, advancing the Foundation’s mission to eliminate pediatric HIV and AIDS, address childhood tuberculosis, and sustain a robust U.S. global HIV response. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Engagement, she will lead EGPAF’s U.S.-based policy and advocacy team and work closely with global colleagues, technical experts, and partners to drive impact across the Foundation’s strategic agenda.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kara to the EGPAF leadership team,” said Yolanda Brignoni, Vice President of Strategic Engagement. “Her strategic vision and extensive policy experience will be invaluable, now more than ever, as we strive to eliminate pediatric HIV.”

Kara brings more than 15 years of experience in public policy and governmental affairs, with deep expertise in U.S. global health and HIV policy. She is widely respected for her ability to design and execute effective advocacy strategies, translate complex policy issues for diverse audiences, and build strong, durable relationships with Congress, the Administration, coalitions, and international partners. Her work has helped shape legislative proposals, strengthen U.S. leadership on global health, and advance policies that improve health outcomes for the world’s most vulnerable children and families.

“I am honored to join EGPAF at such a critical moment for global health,” said Saleeby. “I’m excited to work alongside partners and policymakers to protect hard-won gains and advance policies that expand access to lifesaving care for children and families.”
