Getting to and AIDS-Free Generation: Perspectives of Young People Living with HIV

Despite the differences in cultural context and affected sub-populations, the HIV epidemics among young adults in both sub-Saharan African and the United States are driven by similar factors, including a lack of information, increased risk of HIV in vulnerable youth populations, structural barriers, and services that do not fit unique adolescents’ needs. EGPAF is hosting this satellite to share a cross-continental youth dialogue, which we hope will identify and understand barriers and chart a better path forward for young people in the fight to end AIDS and reduce stigma.

At this event we launched the report Getting to an AIDS-Free Generation Z: Perspectives of Young People Living with HIV, which you can read here.

Date: Wednesday, July 8, 2020 | 1:00-1:45 PM EDT
