Yolanda Brignoni

Yolanda Brignoni serves as Vice President of Strategic Engagement at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where she leads the global communications and public policy teams as an executive leadership member and organizational spokesperson for 1,000+ staff worldwide working to prevent pediatric HIV infection and eliminate pediatric AIDS.

 

A communications leader with over two decades of experience directing strategic campaigns for government, corporate, and nonprofit clients, Yolanda is passionate about motivating action and driving social change. Previously, she served as Vice President of Communications at Axios Media, where she led the company through acquisitions totaling $530 million and helped the organization win its first Emmy. At the UN Foundation, she launched the award-winning Girl Up campaign and contributed to the introduction of the Girls Count Act in Congress.

 

Yolanda has won multiple awards for her work and that of her team in communications and journalism from PR News, PRWeek, The Communicator Awards, and the Georgia Press Association. She was named Mid-Career Professional of the Year by the Grady College of Journalism in 2023. She is a member of the National Press Club, the Forum-Group of Senior Communicators Roundtable, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the Public Relations Society of America.

 

Yolanda holds an MPA from George Washington University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Newspapers and International Affairs from the University of Georgia.
