Veena Sampathkumar

Veena brings over 20 years of experience driving strategic, technical, and operational excellence across multi-country programs in Africa. She has lead diverse country portfolios through transformative shifts—advancing localization, equity, and sustainability in HIV/TB programming and health systems strengthening. Her career spans senior leadership roles at EGPAF, mothers2mothers, and Mercy Corps, where she has successfully managed portfolios ranging from 1 Million to $90 million annually, led crisis response and change management initiatives, and built high-performing, cross-cultural teams. She has pioneered innovative program designs in HIV, TB, COVID-19, digital health, and civil society capacity building, and has influenced national and donor policy shifts through evidence-based advocacy and strategic partnerships.
