VP, Business Development & Fundraising

Jill Mathis

Jill Mathis serves as Vice President, Business Development and Fundraising for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) where she applies her capabilities in new business development, fundraising, partnership development, program design, organizational strategy, and donor relationship management to drive growth of resources for our mission to end AIDS in children.

In this role, Ms. Mathis leads the team of staff responsible for revenue generation through new business development, donor prospecting, and unrestricted fundraising including major gifts, digital donations, and corporate/philanthropic giving. During her time at EGPAF, Ms. Mathis established a high-functioning team responsible for business development that has ensured the growth and maintenance of organizational revenue throughout periods of great change. She has led efforts to diversify EGPAF’s portfolio of funding, securing targeted resources from a set of corporate and private funders.

Efforts over Ms. Mathis’s tenure have resulted in EGPAF’s generation of over $1.5 billion in revenue generation toward ending AIDS in children and families. Prior to joining EGPAF, Ms. Mathis served as Senior Manager in the Deloitte / Cardno Emerging Markets Healthcare Practice, where she provided management oversight for projects addressing HIV/AIDS, other infectious diseases, family planning, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening. Ms. Mathis leverages her experience in strategic coordination among private foundations, international donors, multilateral agencies, and private companies, building global public-private partnerships that offer innovative solutions and increased financing for health issues of global importance.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Mathis served as the Foundation Liaison for USAID’s Bureau for Global Health, where she coordinated global health strategies, policies, and technical activities between USAID and private foundations. Her responsibilities focused on the formation of global alliances with participation from private foundations and European governments. Some of these alliances now serve as powerhouses of funding and technical assistance for the greatest global health challenges of our time.

Ms. Mathis holds a Masters degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and a BA from Davidson College.
