EGPAF Welcomes Sherian Abramaitys-Yi as Chief Human Resources Officer
26 June 2023 — The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is proud to announce the appointment of Sherian Abramaitys-Yi as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her role as CHRO, Sherian will be responsible for all facets of human resources and talent strategy.
“Sherian is a dynamic human resources professional with nearly three decades of experience in international organizations. She has a proven track record of both developing and implementing HR strategies that support and enhance organizational objectives,” said EGPAF President and CEO Chip Lyons. Before joining EGPAF, Abramaitys-Yi was the Managing Director for People and Culture for Asia Society – an organization dedicated to forging closer ties between Asia and the West through arts, education, policy, and business outreach.
She has previously served as the HR Director for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the Senior HR Director for the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), the HR Business Partner for Helios HR, and the Director of HR, and Operations for the Congressional Hunger Center. Abramaitys-Yi holds a BA/MA in International Relations/International Policy Studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and is proficient in French having received her Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes Francaises Modernes from Alliance Française. A passionate advocate for the employee experience, she also possesses certificates in Nonprofit Organizational Management and CHORDA (Conflict Management).
