Community-based approaches for prevention of mother to child transmission in resource-poor settings: a social ecological review

Overview

This paper reviews community-based approaches that have been used in resource-limited settings to increase rates of prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission service enrollment, retention in care and successful treatment outcomes. It aims to identify which interventions work, why they work and what knowledge gaps remain.
