Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Expo (Washington, D.C.)

On October 16, Foundation Ambassador, author, and America’s Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker will be traveling to Washington, D.C. as part of his worldwide tour in support of his recently released book “Nigel Barker’s Beauty Equation.” In addition to providing readers with 10 essential strategies for revealing true beauty, the book details Nigel’s work with the Foundation. Nigel will be featured as a keynote speaker for the second annual Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Expo, and will host a book signing there.

The event will take place at the Washington Convention Center and is open to the public from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here.

A renowned photographer and filmmaker, Nigel has been a longtime supporter of the Foundation. His most notable contribution was the moving 2009 documentary Generation Free, which details the Foundation’s 20-year battle to eradicate pediatric AIDS. In the film, Nigel visits Foundation-supported sites throughout Tanzania, from urban clinics in Dar es Salaam to rural Maasai villages. He documents inspiring stories from women, children, and health care workers affected by HIV and AIDS, and captures stunning images of the people and places he encounters.
