As of October 2021, EGPAF began supporting HIV and AIDS programming in Jamaica. Through our DELTA2 technical assistance project, funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), EGPAF will be able to collect data to assess the burden of childhood sexual, physical and emotional violence, its risk factors, and health consequences including HIV risk. on the health of the nation’s young adults and to study the epidemiological patterns of risk factors for HIV and violence in the country. this survey can answer key questions related to the need for HIV program adaptation and policy change in Jamaica to respond to the syndemic of violence and HIV.
