The 18th ICASA Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa

ICASA 2015 will provide an opportunity for the international community to join efforts in commitment to achieve an AIDS-free Africa. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) will join approximately 9,000 of the world’s leading scientists, policy makers, activists, persons living with HIV, government leaders – as well as a number of heads of state and civil society representatives – in the conversations around how to eliminate AIDS and STIs in Africa.

The conference theme “AIDS in Post 2015 Era: Linking Leadership, Science & Human Rights” engages the whole continent and all stakeholders in the post-Millennium Development Goal framework and reaching 90, 90, 90 targets set by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS). These ambitious global plans will not be possible if human rights are not key priority alongside science-based leadership.

This year, EGPAF is honored to cohost a two-hour satellite symposium on UNITAID investments in integrating new-to-market, point-of-care testing technologies into national laboratory networks in 13 African countries with the aim of increasing the number of HIV-exposed infants whose status is known and who are rapidly placed on treatment.  We are also pleased to have been accepted to present five oral presentations, and 13 poster presentations. For those of you attending this year’s ICASA, please note the following:
