Tamara Finds Hope in Tisamala Teen Mentorship Programme

Tamara became aware of her HIV status when she was 10 years old. She initially struggled with her diagnosis due to lack of treatment and discrimination from some family members. After being introduced to Tisamala Teen Mentorship Programme, Tamara was able to generate a more positive outlook on her health and resolve struggles with family members.

Zambia has one of the most devastating HIV burdens in the world – one in seven adults in the country is living with HIV. Since 2001, EGPAF has provided much needed support to the Ministry of Health to help save the lives of babies and children throughout the country.
